Simple Tips on cooking pasta
Everyone knows how to cook pasta but not everyone knows how to cook it correctly, therefore, I would like to point out a few simple tips and rules that need to be followed;
Add your salt to the pasta water as soon as the water is in the pot because you can easily forget to add the salt later.
Adding the salt earlier also prevents a quick boil over if you add the salt to boiling water and you can easily burn yourself.
Water needs to be used in abundance, ½ liter of water for every 100 grams pasta
Add 10gms of salt is added to every liter of water
When the water is boiling rapidly, then it’s time to add your pasta and you can lower the heat but the water must still be gently boiling at all times
You do NOT have to add oil to water – good pasta does not stick together so do not waste good oil
