Tagliatelle – the magic of artisan pasta made in your home


There is a magic in making artisan pasta in your home and the simplicity of feeding a family with the most amazing meal that not only tastes great but is easy to make just makes millions of Italians and everyone else feel like they are in a permanent happy space.

Basic Butter & Poppy Seed Sauce Recipe

Amazing little 5 minute pasta sauce recipe that goes well with all the home-made tagliatelle flavours. My picks would be; Beetroot, Butternut, Lemon & Parsley Tagliatelle. This is perfect for about 400g of pasta.

Ingredients for basic butter & poppy seed sauce

 

  • 400g tagliatelle
  • 80g butter
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds (lightly crushed in a mortar)
  • 60g grated parmesan cheese
  • Pepper

Ingredients for basic butter & poppy seed sauce

Brown butter lightly and add poppy seeds and pepper. Pour over hot,  cooked Tagliatelle and add parmesan cheese and maybe more pepper.
